Special
yard waste collection will take place four times per year. Look
for dates in Neighbor-to-Neighbor, on Channel 8 and on the Board of
Health portion of
tyngsboroughma.gov.
Leaves and grass clippings
must be placed in compostable PAPER LEAF BAGS (available at local
stores such as Home Depot, Wal-Mart, Market Basket, True Value Hardware
stores, etc.), dry cardboard boxes or trash barrels. Boxes and
barrels will be emptied and left at the curb. Do NOT place
yard waste in plastic bags!
Leaves and grass clippings in plastic bags or wet cardboard
boxes will not be collected.
Flower and vegetable garden
waste may also be included. Grass clippings may be included
with leaves or may be bagged separately.
Pinecones, pine needles
and small twigs that are raked up with leaves may be included.
Paper leaf bags do not
need to be closed at the top, but please do not let them stand in
puddles of water.
